Axiom Futures is an India-based technical research and field-building initiative incubated by Impact Academy. For 2024-25, Axiom Futures is focused on identifying and supporting top technical talent from India to contribute to AI safety through their careers. We are currently running two programs— an alignment research fellowship and an online AI Safety Careers Course (AISCC).
The Summer Pilot Fellowship (SPF) is Axiom Futures’ first program for aspiring alignment researchers in India. Launched in June 2024., it is a two-month, full-time fellowship where selected candidates work with mentors from leading AI safety labs and institutions on a technical AI safety/alignment project.
The primary objective of this initiative is to:
Applications are open to both advanced university students and working professionals. Fellows receive a competitive stipend, housing and co-working office space in Bangalore, and a funded, week-long visit to London, UK.

<aside> 📝 Cofounder and CTO at startup Stitch. Kellin is also a PhD candidate at McGill University and the Mila AI Institute (supervised by Reihaneh Rabbany), a member of the Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship, and a research advisor at FAR AI.
At Stitch, he is building the AI extension of your imagination with a visual interface for LLMs. On the research side, his recent focus has been AI safety, misinformation mitigation, and AI agents.

<aside> 📝 Taufeeque works as an Alignment Research Engineer at FAR AI, and is also a Research Manager at Axiom Futures (Impact Academy). He graduated with a B.Tech in Computer Science from India’s premier technical institute, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, in 2022.
